I have always been interested in history, especialy local history. So, in these pages I have Ohio history from 1767 when the Northwest Territories were created untill 1803 when Ohio became the 17th state in the Union. Also, the beginning of Columbus and the history of the area of Columbus that I live in, Clintonville.

- Ohio technically did not become a state until August 7, 1953. Due to an oversight, Congress never voted on the resolution to admit Ohio to the Union until that date.

- Ohio has an area of 116,103 sq miles. It ranks 34th in state size.
- Ohio's state flag is a pennant design. It is the only state flag of that design in the United States.
- The national road (State route 40) runs right through Columbus, and is Main street while in Columbus.
